This might be reducing, controlling or stopping your substance use. Our support is non-judgemental - we are here to help you, whatever your situation. Once you have set your goals, we will help you achieve them.

If you want to get support with alcohol, there's lots of help available.

Everyone’s journey is different. The right treatment and care for you will depend on your experiences and your current situation.

Your first visit

When you walk through the door, you will see a friendly face. A member of our team will be more than happy to help you. You'll wait in our reception, where there are places to sit and leaflets to read.

Our welcome group

We run a welcome group for anyone who is new to the service. It's a chance for you to learn more about what we offer and how it could work for you.

You can ask questions about your treatment and care, and find out more about the service.

Do you often find yourself waking up and needing a drink? Do you feel shaky and nauseas when you need a drink? Is alcohol dominating your life and your health? Don’t worry, we can help you make positive changes. This group session is about learning safe ways to reduce your drinking at a manageable pace and building a healthier and happier life no longer dominated by alcohol. We are a really supportive and welcoming group led by experienced recovery experts.

These sessions are face-to-face.

11:30

Are you drinking more than you would like to be drinking? Is it getting in the way of work or relationships? Do you find it difficult to stop drinking once you start?

This group session is for you if you would like to reduce your alcohol consumption to a low controlled level or give up completely. It’s a welcoming group that explores the impacts of alcohol on all areas of our lives and can offer achievable steps to help you make lasting changes.

These sessions are face-to-face 11:30 am - 12:30 pm.

12:00

If you are no longer drinking alcohol or using drugs, this group will help you maintain that and avoid the risk of a lapse. Over the course of 6 weeks we look at handling triggers and cravings. We talk through ways to cope with everyday situations that don’t involve substances and building a life that doesn’t involve substances.

These sessions are face-to-face and online.

You will be invited to join the growth group as you progress through your recovery, or you can select to attend or find out more by calling 01452 223014.

Are you in need of a bit of a break and a calming session? This group session is open to anyone interested in guided exercises and meditation to help you relax.

These sessions are face-to-face.

Did your drug use start off fun but now feels out of control? Do drugs impact other areas of your life? This group will be looking at why we use drugs, and how we can cope with those things in healthier ways that cause fewer problems.

These sessions are face-to-face.

Are you new to treatment or are in a new phase of your treatment? Are you interested in building the foundations of your recovery, be it with alcohol or drugs? Then this weekly workshop can help you set realistic goals to make step by step recovery progress. Run over 8 weeks we introduce you to the principles and value of recovery. We will help you set and achieve realistic goals.

These sessions are face-to-face.

If you are no longer drinking alcohol or using drugs, this group will help you maintain that and avoid the risk of a lapse. Over the course of 6 weeks we look at handling triggers and cravings. If you want to address your drug or alcohol use but have day time commitments, this is a session for you. We will talk you through healthy lifestyle changes, building supportive social networks as well as handling triggers and cravings.

These sessions are face-to-face and online.

Wednesday

This is the next stage of your treatment journey once you’ve completed our Foundations of Change course. Over the 12 week course we go into more depth into why we use alcohol and other substances as a coping mechanism, exploring risks and triggers to use. We help you discover practical ways to manage your recovery including ways to challenge negative thinking and motivation to change.

These sessions are face-to-face.

This group is for you if you’ve applied to go to detox or rehab for your alcohol dependency. We can help you prepare and answer any questions or worries you may have.  This group is a small group session with free flowing conversation.

These sessions are face-to-face.

You will be invited to join the growth group as you progress through your recovery.
