How we can help

drink and drugs purple icon

We have a variety of ways we can help you.

We provide free and confidential support for adults experiencing difficulties with drugs and alcohol. We'll listen to your needs and make sure we tailor the support to you.

Breaking the Chains of Addiction:

Breaking the Chains of Addiction is a powerful film that explores people’s life-changing journeys of recovery told by the individuals who have lived through it. They speak candidly about why they began using substances and how they reached the point where they were ready to seek help.

This film was commissioned by West Northamptonshire and North Northamptonshire Councils and produced by One to One Development Trust in conjunction with Northamptonshire Combatting Drugs and Alcohol Partnership.

If any topics in this film affect you, please contact your nearest support service or fellowship for support. If you live in Northampton, contact us or visit STAR’s website for more information.

Streets of Change:

Amid a worsening housing crisis and levels of poverty in the UK, "Streets of Change" challenges public perceptions by bringing to life the stories of rough-sleepers and the outreach workers who support them. It explores the complexity of homelessness and urges viewers to see beyond stereotypes through personal insights and real-life narratives.

Produced by One to One Development Trust and funded by West Northamptonshire Council.

Your care plan

We will create your recovery plan with you, focusing on your personal strengths and what you want to achieve. We'll create your recovery plan using language that means something to you. You'll own your personal goals and decide what actions to take. There are lots of support options to help you achieve your goals. We'll review your actions with you every three months.

Employment support

If employment is part of your recovery, we can help. We believe everyone is capable of doing some work if they want to, and we will support you with this.

Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is an evidence-based service that matches people with work that they want to do.

Our support is available if you are aged 18 - 64 and in treatment at Change Grow Live.

To find out more, speak to your Recovery Co-ordinator. You can also email IPSNorthamptonshire@cgl.org.uk or call 0808 169 8512 to refer yourself or for more information.

Visit our IPS page to find out more about our employment support services.
